Seoul extends the current Climate Card

Everyone’s Card (Climate Companion Pass) launches on September 1, while current Climate Cards remain usable into late September. Ddareungi linkage for the replacement is still planned for later.

The Dates

The revised schedule is:

Everyone's Card (Climate Companion Pass) launch: September 1, 2026. prepaid Climate Card recharge: through August 31, 2026. prepaid Climate Card use: through September 29, 2026. postpaid Climate Card use: through September 30, 2026.

Seoul says existing Everyone's Card / K-Pass users in Seoul will receive the city-specific benefits automatically. The city lists Ddareungi discount linkage as a later addition, not a confirmed September 1 feature.

The July 30 release uses the name Everyone's Card (Climate Companion Pass), rather than the earlier Climate Card Plus label. It does not say the Ddareungi link starts on September 1.

What Ddareungi users should do

Keep using the current Climate Card within the revised dates if it suits your routine. After prepaid use ends on September 29 or postpaid use ends on September 30, move to Everyone's Card / K-Pass for the replacement transit benefit.

If the Ddareungi benefit is the reason you use it, check Seoul's next notice before changing cards. The September replacement launches on time; the bike-share link does not have the same confirmed start date.
